USACE displacement figures may reflect original commissioning records, a drydock survey, or owner-reported data and do not carry a measurement date. Age factors compensate for steel loss over time. For legally defensible disputes, a current certified draft survey by a licensed marine surveyor ($500–800) is recommended prior to recycler delivery.
